Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife is currently looking for a media officer who will be working in the programme of communications services in Queen Elizabeth Park in pietermaritzburg .The ideal candidate will make sure that public awareness on Ezomvelo mandate and facilitate as well as coordinating the interaction between media and the organisation on an ongoing basis.

Requirements for this role :

Grade 12 / Matric
Valid code EB license is mandatory for this role
National Diploma/ Degree in Journalism/ Communication/ media studies is required for this role
3 years proven experience in media and communication
2 years experience in a nature conservation will be advantageous
Clear criminal record Is a must for this role
Excellent communication skills ( both written and verbal )

Responsibilities for this role:

Offer assistance with editing of content for various publications
Compliance with administrative procedures and contractual agreements
Check the needs and opportunities for social media and online visibility
Attend events and write internal and external publications
Make sure that you provide correct press releases
Respond to queries from the media ensuring professionalism and organisational standards
